GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is required for admission to graduate schools in fields other than business, law, and medicine. It tests students' verbal, quantitative (math), and analytical skills. Knowledge of vocabulary is extremely important in at least two sections of the GRE: analogies and antonyms.
